My ebay knock off header studs have been working great with those headers. I couldn't use MLS gaskets as the flanges were not true. Used a thicker gasket made for leaks, I forgot the name.
Ended up getting a new set of gm bolts. Installed them over the weekend, working great so far. Wow does the car sound nice with these headers . Getting the computer tuned by ECS this week, cant wait to see how it feels with the new tune.
I was reading his reply and halfway through thinking "man this dude is passionate about header bolts" until I saw head gasket leak and it all made sense.
For the record, I have never, and would never reuse HEAD bolts.
The build I just finished with I used 3 new sets of head bolts lol. Reused manifold header bolts.

im also going to install my headers soon, with the ARP STUDS (NOT ARP BOLTS) Gaskets i was thinking of getting comets.
when I put my headers on my C5 I used the ARP stud kit and loved those things. Not only are they superior fasteners, they look nice too. No question, if I ever did another car, I'd use em again. Yes, they're pricey. Worth every penny.
