In addition it was quiet when driving, it was smooth even with the base suspension. It tracked great and did not require constant attention. The car I drove two days ago required attention to drive it. If someone told me I had driven a race car two days ago I would not have disagreed. The one today was a very agreeable car.

I can tell from this post that you would absolutely hate my 04 Z06.......

Mine, too. That AE couldn't have been "scary fast". Anybody that has chrome plastered all over would not liked motor mods. This' especially true of cars with those god awful tail light trim thingies. Chrome add ons generally mean geezer owned.

Final update. I just brought this morning a 2006 orange convertible that is fully loaded except for the chrome wheels, it has the aluminum polished wheels.

I love this car. I can now say that the 2003 that started this thread is still by far scarier than my new c6. I would say it is even faster than my c6 but then I don't have them side by side. I can only say this 06 is powerful but not scary powerful.

You said "brought", but did you mean "bought"?

Even though this is the C5 forum, we would still like to see pictures of your new car.

That's great Katie! Funny how when you find the right one its a no brainer. You expert consultants do need pix!

hey zeevette watch the old geezer jokes. There's plenty of tasteless trim applied by much younger people than myself or many others on this forum.

Well, it was intended to be somewhat tongue in cheek, as I'm 62, so most would consider me in that category.

New car pic is in c6 general under the title New car.

I have to say the c5 would have been totally ok with me, on the other hand the power top is nice.

Thank you all for your help. I have driven a number of miles in a c5 and a c6 and excluding the monster that started this thread I can now say that BOTH cars are very nice. I think the c6 is a bit more evolved but regardless both are comfortable. Both have ample power and handling.........

I would have been happy with either. I just love the color of orange that I have with my car that was not offered in the c5 production....
