If it had happened to you there could be two people dead and you would be trying to explain to a detective that they are dead because they flipped you the bird.

When I was working I dealt with a lot of these damn goblins who victimize who they can, when they feel they can get away with it. Mostly they are cowards, using superior numbers or picking on people they feel cannot defend themselves. I've advised many of them that eventually they will try to victimize the wrong person and pay a very heavy price. Screwing with people you don't know is a dangerous business and once in a while the stars align and a predator goblin gets what they deserve. I don't know about all of you but I'll be damned if I'm going to let myself be victimized. Its just not going to happen! I never go looking for trouble and avoid it if I can but if I'm threatened or feel my safety or that of my family is on the line I will take action without hesitation and without a second thought. Texas is a carry state, both concealed and open, and we have the "castle doctrine". I know that opinions and feelings run high on both sides of this issue, but I will tell you, based on long actual experience, that the chances of the police being in place or close enough to respond quickly enough to prevent violence being done to you or family is very remote. Ultimately, you have to be able to take care of yourself if necessary, and all indications are pointing to things getting worse, not better. All of you please be safe and best wishes! PS: Today my thoughts are with our nations Veterans who gave all!

... I would not do anything but laugh if all they did was give me the bird, that doesn't bother me at all... now try to get into my car and beat me up, that's a different story and I would have no problems explaining my actions to anyone... I don't know how it is in your state but crap like this doesn't fly in texas and thankfully we are one of the few states left that actually has the law on our side in cases like this

Texas is one of the most screwed up states in the country. See: Biker shootings, mass murders, theater shooting, child shootings etc.

I find that I'm a much calmer, more rational person when I'm carrying. I think it's the added responsibility that does it. I do my best to ignore those who flip me off, or otherwise do something I find stupid. Best bet is to remove myself from the situation, if possible. Diffuse the situation by ignoring the behavior if I can, and confrontation only as a last resort. So far, so good. But it gets worse everyday.

I've actually got multiple guns, but would hate to use one for something so ridiculous. I wouldn't have flipped the guys off had they not been driving like mad men and nearly causing accidents every 100 feet. I'm very thankful that there were no guns or knives involved, and that I wasn't hurt. (RIP stubby. Lol.) I do regret that I was confined to the inside of my tiny two seater. Had I been outside the confines of the car, it would have been much worse for my would be attackers. I have to laugh at some of the hate being posted, as clearly you've never had to defend yourselves. That day will come. This country is on a slippery slope that can't be stopped easily now. Good luck. Thanks to our Veterans and fallen.

That's the crazy thing. No idea. I was in a left turn lane, them behind me. After we took off casually, they flipped out and cut off another driver to come up along side me. Possible drugs and alcohol, especially considering the weekend.

Yes those guys are idiots but you flipping them off in return doesn't make you any better off. But roll your eyes and be on your way is the best and safest resolution.

Giving the finger makes me no better off than two goons who bum rush a single target because they're under the influence/offended? I disagree. Was I wrong to flip the bird? Sure, but I'm not the one who was driving crazy and started the fight. Hop off the high horse, friend.

Montano and 4th perhaps? Had made the left turn onto Montano when they started getting crazy. Tried to put some distance between us, but no go. Ha.

Sir, I respectfully disagree. If you, as an innocent citizen, are physically assaulted by two adult males, you can already assume that they do not have the best intentions, on the contrary they are attempting to do you harm. Now, does it stop with the simple assault, maybe, maybe not. The assailants might easily have been armed with a weapon. When things are moving in split seconds and your safety or life is imminent danger, and you, as the innocent party, are in a position where you may very well lose your life or suffer serious injury, you are then in a position of making a decision to defend yourself or not. If the OP had produced a weapon to stop the attack, he is acting lawfully in defense of his life. On the other hand, the assailants, who initiated the assault, are acting unlawfully and have no right to attempt homicide against the victim who is defending himself. What if the OP was not strong enough to fight off the attack, or was a slightly built woman. Dealing with multiple assailants usually does not end well for the victim. If you are the victim and choose to do nothing and take no action, you are then in the position of just hoping it ends well for you. Maybe you'll be able to walk away, maybe not. By the way, I've seen victims who were beaten to death with just blows and kicks. Doesn't have to be a knife or gun, but they were just as dead. The right of self defense is there and if the goblins suffer for it they brought it upon themselves. Take care and best wishes!

You want to see screwed up, come here to Commiefornia. I'll get back to my home on the east coast eventually, but trust me, I've spent plenty of time in Texas, and I will tell you that it's one of the last bastions of American freedom and normality in this Nation, my friend. JMHO.

I was sitting on a beach in Florida one day wearing a Porsche hat (didn't wanna get the corvette hat dirty) and a random guy walks by me and flips me off. I looked at my fiance and said, "is he flipping me off"? She said yes and I said, must hate Porsche drivers, good thing I'm not one. He kept walking and we continued to enjoy the beach.

You ask if it were better if someone died? That would be a big yes, the two perps who attacked him in his vehicle are so much better off dead. Do you really think this is the first time they've done **** like this?

FL is a CCW state and just because I've never been attacked before certainly doesn't mean I can't be. If I'm firing my gun I'm emptying the whole thing and erasing there miserable existence.

"Hate being posted"? "never had to defend yourself"? While your out flipping off people driving like mad men I was defending your right to do so. Vietnam, Desert Storm, OIF and Afganistan. No thanks necessary.

Amazing how your thought pattern changes as you get older. I went after someone years ago with my wife in the car. When it was over I had seven stitches in my hand and he was in an ambulance. I often wonder what might have happened if he had a gun.

As hard as it is sometimes I've learned to turn the other cheek as they say.

Glad you're OK...
