There was something seriously going on with the guy outside the car IMO, he was so angry, he was almost crying himself!
That is how to avoid a confrontation that could end up in serious harm if cooler heads did not prevail.
That guy sure has never had a gun safety course which should be required for all psychos, rednecks, drug addicts and drunkards.

I do carry a gun in my DD. I guess now is the time to think about one in the Vette. So I want to make sure I have plenty of horsepower in the Z .. What do you guys think?

You got me all screwed up, I was referring to the only video with no guns mentioned

But I agree with your statement about the guy brandishing the 45. Funny that bike dude didn't really back off even though he could have been dead!

There are dozens of those road rage videos. Something has happened to this country. People are freakin' crazy.
There is a link for the first video. It's entertaining too.

, actually people just need to be more respectful in general... in my opinion a lot of the hate towards law enforcement has to do with the hypersensitivity of society nowadays thinking that a slap on the wrist is more than enough punishment for the crimes being committed... granted there are probably some crooked cops out there but I have not ran into one yet, and I have no problem with a cop taking control of the situation as long as it's warranted... a lot of these criminals want to cry after they get caught and the sh*t whipped out of them but it's pretty simple, don't do the crime and that won't happen!... the media doesn't help either, they do everything they can to escalate the situation and put the spotlight where they want the story to go... I really hate the media, I'm beginning to believe that the powers that be generally want us to hate each other and create more and more havoc, because the more of it that happens the easier it is for them to pass these ludicrous laws to watch our every move

no kidding, that's the first thing I noticed... the way he holds his gun it appears that he has never shot it or doesn't know how to handle it... I don't know about other states but in texas to get a chl they teach you basic things like this in the classroom so either he wasn't paying attention or just owns a gun and has no chl... the majority of the time it is not chl holders doing stupid things like this so the actions of a criminal or non-chl holding idiot should not ruin it for everyone else in my opinion

That's terrible. I'm glad you weren't hurt, it could have ended badly. I always carry my Glock 25 (the 34 is too big). It's loaded with one in the chamber at all times. I would never even consider going for my gun unless my life was in danger and drawing and shooting instantly was my only option, and I won't hesitate to defend myself...it's the reason I trained for years in defensive shooting. I absolutely never flip anyone off, there are too many nut jobs out there on drugs or psychos looking for a fight. I do everything I can to disengage and avoid a confrontation...slow down, make a turn, whatever, and hope they just go away. It doesn't take much to egg on a real crazy, like the guys you encountered. Some people are going do what it takes to retaliate if you flip them off, then the fight is on and you are forced to defend yourself..:c razy:

A lot of tough guys here advocating carrying and blowing the bad guys away. As a law enforcement officer I can tell you there are several legal repercussions in taking someone's life. Possible criminal charges, civil liabilities and the thought of living with the nightmare of killing another. Deadly physical force is only justified if a person is using deadly physical force against you or another person. That's the law in New York State. If you're not in harms way it's probably better to diffuse the situation.

I'm in my third year of driving my 'Vette as a daily driver here in Massachusetts. I've had nothing but smiles and compliments. Maybe I'm not going to the right neighborhoods.

Sir, I agree with you entirely. To other forum members I would say, and coming from one who taught weapons and use of force for many years, always avoid confrontation whenever possible, withdraw from a potentially violent situation, if possible, and as safely as possible. Confrontations with a stranger(s) is fraught with potential dangers that may not be initially visible. Never, never think you can judge someone by their size, age, or appearance, that is a potentially fatal error. Whenever possible try to maintain at least 21 feet between yourself and a possible assailant/problem. Keep in mind that the average adult male can cover that 21 feet in a bit over 2 seconds and you will find that you need every bit of that distance to react properly. Anything and everything can be used as a weapon. To those of you who elect to carry a firearm, I implore you to attend a proper course, get thoroughly competent with whatever weapons system you are using, know the laws governing the use of force, and most of all remember that firearms and deadly force is always the very last resort. Always take another course of action whenever possible. Please be safe and take care. Best wishes!

Legal repercussions aside, firing on and killing someone is not as easy as it sounds. IMHO you have to be deranged to aim and fire on someone who is not actively trying to kill you. If someone punches me in the nose, it's mostly my pride that's hurt. I would need to truly fear for my life before taking someone else's. Life is not TV or the movies. Once that moment is over, life doesn't go on the same as before. Pulling the trigger is the beginning for you, not the end.

Seeing the previously posted video reminded me of a real incident, originally filmed by the bad guys, where a father/son wannabe bad guy duo are harassing a guy and girl in a BMW vert. Now, I'm not advocating the verbal back and forth and gesturing, but the goblins in the truck clearly instigate the entire incident, and chase the BMW down as evidenced by filming with their own camera. This 6 1/2 minute video is well worth watching and clearly demonstrates the danger of screwing around with folks you don't know. The intended victims decidedly turn the tables on these two would be goblins who are very lucky it didn't turn out much worse for them. Final footage is filmed on the bad guys camera by the young lady. Give it a watch! Best wishes to all!

Also, a good message about how a firearm, even without being fired, in the hands of a citizen, can completely change the outcome of a potentially deadly event. Yes I think it was staged, no one is going to drive to the middle of nowhere with wife/girlfriend in car, she was way to calm. He would have no idea if they would have two guns, they were supposed to be rednecks after all even the music is over the top, just like the dialogue. If not staged, that guy is stupid as the two rednecks.IMO

I preferred the NRA before 1977 and then the extremists and gun industry took it over. Back then they promoted gun safety, education, hunting and shooting sports. Now all they care about is getting guns into the hands of everybody, lunatics, morons, psychos, right wing extremists....everybody.
