Default 1999 Coupe!

I was waiting in line this week at a local gas station to fill up with the "Vet" and the guy in front of me thought my car was brand new. I told the gentleman it was a 1999 and he couldn't believe it. I guess I must be doing something right in maintaining the car.

... As mentioned, it happens a lot. When that question is asked by someone, it makes me feel pretty good when you let them know it's a 17 year old car and has XXX amount of miles. Generally, the person that asks is a person that has longed to own one, but never was able to pull that trigger for whatever reason, as some have expressed to me. The real revelation is when you tell them that they can be bought for 10-20K and they respond by (with raised eyebrows), 'I thought they were about 40-50K or more", and watch them walk away with the gears turning in their heads and thinking about maybe it's time to squeeze that trigger !!!.......

Amazing how a minimum of a 12 year old car can still be mistaken for a new one - GM did a great job in the design of the C5.

I would also say us Forum members do a better than average job of keeping our cars up to top standards. I go to local events and amazed at what some people call clean and shiny...

I've always thought the C5 Vette was one of the most beautiful Corvette designs ever. Now that I finally own one, that goes doubly so! Your coupe rocks!
