Welcome John. If you go to the user CP you can add information about your car and where you are located. That's helpful if you have questions in the future. Enjoy the car, I have had mine since I bought it new right after 9/11 and it still makes me smile
Hello everyone , i'm a new member as of today, name is John and I just got a real nice 2000 Torch Red 40,000 Very excited ...
Hey John, I've also got a 2000 with just over 140,000 miles of Torch Red
fury. Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the black hole of MOD's. Last but not least....
Hello to you Sir! Congratulations on your C5, you are gonna love it! Lots of fun! This forum is terrific, great source of information from like minded folks who are always willing to help you out. Best wishes and you take good care!
Congrats, and welcome! This forum is a wealth of knowledge. Just a few suggestions. If you have an issue use Google instead of the forum search feature. A simple "C5 corvette *insert problem*" should turn up a bunch of results.
Also, as help for troubleshooting learn how to pull your codes. It's always good to pull them and write them down before you clear them to help with diagnosis. Once cleared pull them after a drive (but leave the car running) to pull the most recent codes.
Also, a fully charged battery should read 12.7-12.9v anything less than that could cause a bunch of symptoms/error codes to pop up. The electronics are very needy and sensitive.
