I like the overall look of this “diffuser.” However, I’d be somewhat concerned about the lack of ventilation, and hence, the parachute effect. Even as a cosmetic, it not only doesn’t add much (if any) in the way of diffusion, but goes in the opposite direction - basically a counter-diffuser. Not necessarily a big deal as most of the add-on skirts and rear spoilers are mostly cosmetic anyway.
Question: does this mount using all four of the rear vents, or just two? If the latter, would it be feasible to open up the other two in order to provide some form of heat extraction? If trimmed properly with a mesh grille behind, perhaps some of the heat could escape…?
The bolts only go in 1 vent slot on each side so I guess you could cut it for ventilation though i really don't think that it is causing any more drag then the stock bumper. Pretty much anything sold after market for any car is purely for cosmetic when you get down to it. I still get 30+ mpg cruising on the highway so I don't think its a big deal, i'm not driving 200 mph or anything.
I was big supporter of having this made. With that said after looking at it does stand out a bit. I think an upper spoiler is needed to balance it out. A SLP or Carrivaggio style would flow best with the curves. Side skirts and a front lip would help too when looking at the car as a whole
I have been forcing myself to like them but something still doesn't click for me,maybe I need to see them in person. Either way the quality seems great and it's cool that somebody is still making parts for our older cars .
OK, I get it now. Is there a diffuser on any car, factory or after market, that you do like?
Me specifically or any of the people who replied they don't like it?
I think the C6 unit looks much better than the one shown on the C5 here. This one looks clumsy and out of place; better without than with.
Do I like diffusers on other cars? Haven't paid attention TBH.

in the pic you posted with the blue tape it appears to have gaps around the edge and not sit flush with the bumper, is that how it really looks or was that before you secured it down?... for as much as it costs you shouldn't have to spend more to make it fit right

Oh I see what you are talking about, those are actually just shadows in the reflection of the paint there is maybe a 0.1" gap around the edges you cant really see unless you put your face down there on the bumper.
Mine should be arriving early next week. Could you please tell me if you needed a second set of hands for the install, or did you do the whole job yourself? How much time should I plan for?
It looks like your Corvette was raped by a rice-burner!
FAIL!
That pic is not fair to compare just because some jackass puts r32 tail lights on a Honda then makes his own pos body kit doesn't mean that all diffusers are bad.
However, the truth is sometimes difficult to mask.
If it's not to your liking that's fine. But it's your opinion. This may not fit your taste. I haven't been on here for a while. I am the person that made the original diffuser for the C5 and handed over to Pete at Corvette Creationz to bring it to production. This diffuser was based off of a stock C6 diffuser to try and keep it as close to a stock looking piece as possible. I took the task of making this 2 years ago because many forum members where wanting a bolt on diffuser that required no drilling or cutting of the rear bumper. I personally like the looks of it and I have had alot of positive feed on it. I should have the carbon fiber version soon and will post pics when installed. I know there are some out there that like the stock look of the C5. This may not be for those. For the others that like to personalize their cars and asked for this very piece this is the only one that requires no modification to the bumper. Not trying to sell anyone on it. Everyone has to decide whether you like the look or not. My car is far from stock and it works fine with my other body mods.

This spoiler is not for everyone but I like it on my car. I have had TONS OF POSITIVE FEEDBACK, and I plan on changing mine out for the CF version this fall. Thanks Rob for making this a reality.
