What octane
In my area I have a choice between non-ethanol 87 and 10% ethanol 93 I am thinking the 87 with octane booster? The original owner said he only ran 87 with ethanol....

Nothing but 93 octane for me and a bottle of techron twice per year.

I know 87 is what he claimed to use, when I bought the car it had a full tank of gas and I drove it 2 hours home, no problems that I could tell.
I will be using 93 as suggested.
Thanks for all the feedback

Run the 10% ethanol 93. Your car will like it better.

I use Shell 93 typically as in the Regional area we do not have Ethanol free. Talking with several gas industry reps they explained the 10% is arbitrary as most gas at the pump has typical 5% to 8% blends. Ethanol is not bad for the engines of today, they are built to use those fuels but the Government wants to move the industry toward higher % for so called cleaner emissions. I am not a fan of higher % as there can be problems with older engines and pumps.

Ethanol fuel makes more power so enjoy it. Every once in a while run some cleaner through and call it a day. The truth is ethanol causes issues with fuel systems that sit for long periods of time but if your car is in regular use it will not cause any adverse effects. Even with non ethanol fuel you will still need to clean the fuel system from time to time.
