I have a 2002 Corvette and I just replaced the LH headlamp motor assembly because of a bad gear. Now when I turn the headlights on or off the headlight goes up and down about four time before it stops. Any help would be appreciated.....my email is beeglec@hughes.net

Here is a link to a thread that has pics of the bump stops:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ght-shake.html

When the headlights are opened or closed they are stopped in either the open or closed position by a sensing circuit in the headlight control module. When the headlght pushes against one of the stops it results in an increased current in the circuit. The headlight control module senses this increased current and cuts off voltage to the motor.

So damaged or missing bump stops can cause strange actions of the headlights.
