Default Any noise?

I am about to get new rotors and pads for my 04.

Nothing has ever been said about noise when talking about the drilled and slotted rotors.

Do you that have them ever notice a "whistling" noise from the drilled rotors?
Obviously air passes through the holes when driving, and I just wondered if you hear a whistling noise.

I could hear a very slight noise on my C6 Z51 Coupe. It had DRILLED rotors and with very slight brake pressure, I could hear a very slight CLOPPing noise if I had the windows down.

NOTHING that I would ever worry about. I'm a noise freak and hear ALL different than normal noises.

Being a Submariner makes you like that!

WHY,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, on GODS GREEN EARTH and BLUE SEA, would anyone just PING like that for 8 hours?

I wish you could hear some of the FANCY Confidential Sonar pulses that the US has TODAY!

It would knock your SOCKS OFF! Even the Surface community has some really bazar sonar pulses!

When a Ship or SUB goes ACTIVE, its might as well put up a giant HERE WE ARE FLAG with bright shiny strobe lights!

The goal is to remain UN-DETECTED.

Yes, there are times that subs go active but, not very often, especially when they are on mission! When I was on an SSN, we would go active when we were training or in an exercise to LET the other guy know where we were. Half the damn time when you are suppose to conduct an exercise with someone, they cant find you! A good solid ping is all it takes to put them on location!

Hell, we have even had to shoot a COMBO Smoke/Flair to mark location!

If I had to purchase rotors again and they needed to be something OTHER than solid plain rotors, I would find some DIMPLED and slotted rotors.

The drilled rotors have been known to CRACK between the holes on rotors that are used hard.
