@ Glensgages - Nice garage! Looks like your house got improvements too with new siding! Enjoy!
Thanks
corner of house had an L-shaped, screened-in porch, 16' by 15', by 8' wide, but due to the heat, it is only enjoyed 4 months of the year, so concrete was poured to raise the floor, and it was framed-in, too, with A/C
am currently using this area for storage, and have no pictures of the finished interior
Nice! Hard to argue with adding conditioned square footage!
during construction of the garage, the contractor & I decided that the interior plywood sheeting, exterior plywood sheeting, and roof plywood sheeting would be done 1/4" thicker than usual, that we'd stuff the most R-rating we could into the frames & underside of the roof, we'd use the best-insulated garage doors we could find, that every joint of the Hardie-board siding would be sealed & caulked, etc., in-hopes of keeping it cool:
the week before the A/C was fired-up, we had consecutive days of 97*f and then 102*f, yet the inside temperature never got above 83*f, per the digital thermostat, so we're pretty happy

Pretty awesome, thanks for sharing the build. I'm jealous
This took far longer than anticipated. Several setbacks with the paint and hanging the overhead racks by myself took some time. There are two flush mounted ceiling led shop lights and led bulbs elsewhere. My wife and I agreed we need to address the floor and she like RaceDeck Flooring so that'll be on the docket for later.
Had some coffee stains on my Bamboo wood floor and used Chadwick's to take off the spots, it took them off, and then I landed *** first on the floor. Way too slippery for the floor

Building a large shop this fall, 40'X60' with infloor heating. Can't wait to get this thing started.
Bill
My garage has the in floor heating, the cement holds the heat for many hours. (27x28) I live in Michigan so you know it gets cold here, I leave the stat on 60 until I want to work in the garage, then I bump it to 65 and after it reaches that temp (about a hour) the boiler does not come on the rest of the day (sometimes til midnight) it actually rises to about 70 by the end of the day. The upstairs heat comes on about 8 times.
