Nothing fancy, just a regular 22x20 garage, added the Rustleum Epoxysheild floor and a few things on the wall. I want to paint the walls soon just don't know what color yet.

It's a 36'X63' pole barn. I had the main building (36X48) built in 1994 and have been working on it ever since. I added the lift about 3 years ago, a god sent at 64. No more working on cold concrete. I have a 12'X15' paint booth in one corner and one of the 12' bays has a loft over it for extra storage. It's my home away from home.

OP whatever you do when you think you know how big you want it, add 20% more space. You will also want to make sure you have ample electric sockets, hot & cold water sillcocks, and you can never have enough lighting.
I know for sure when my wife and I go to build our next house (6-8 years) the garage will be roughly 30x40 (Each ride will have 13x30 space roughly). I also plan on building a separate building away from the house.
Current Garage (20x22 - Worthless).

Same here. 20 x 22 two tool boxes and shelves full of supplies. I have one 120V plug to power stuff. I hate my garage. I cannot work inside of it. I work outside in the driveway....... in GA My two car garage is really a tight two car parking spot.
One day, I'll build a separate garage to play in and my attached garage can be a "yuppie" garage. I've given in on the size. it started out 30'W x 28'D and now, if it gets built it will be 36'W x 40'D....... you only get to do something like that once, do it right.

I have an 8x16 shed in the backyard for all of my lawn/yard stuff and my tools are in the basement which is really inconvenient. I am getting ready to put kitchen cabinets in the back of the garage so I can get rid of the standing shelf and get a few sq feet back. My garage is pretty much a yuppie one already because its only the vehicles and a cabinet of detailing accouterments. It's unbelievable how worthless these garages are in "planned" communities. I cringe when I see what the people in my neighborhood have in their garages.
So we're going to be looking for a new house in the next year or two. I would really like a 3 car garage but those are kind of hard to come by in my area.
If we went with a two car garage how long and tall does it need to be to accommodate a lift so I can fit three vehicles in it?
When we built our current house about 10 years back, the initial plans showed a decent size 2 car garage. First thing I did on marking up the plans was to increase it to a 3 bay 34' x 26' building with the bigger size garage doors (higher, wider) and a higher ceiling joist height. Being able to get my full size pick up in, and have working space between it and the work bench I knew I was going to build across the width of the building, was essential.
So I have space for vehicles, spare sets of wheels/tires, plus room for power equipment, a big pillar drill, etc., etc. The woodworking stuff was originally in there as well, but it's now in the utility part of the basement.
I have both 120v and 240v circuits in the garage. The electric service entrance is in the garage, which made things easy. Plus, I had the electric company "heavy up" the supply to 400 amp service when they hooked us up. Not much of an on cost when it's a new supply, and with multiple heat pumps, not a bad idea for future expandability.
