So I bought my 10k mile 02' Z06 last Thursday. Drove it home and parked it until Wednesday morning when I drove it to the shop to have PAC 1218 valve springs installed. Went to pick it up Wednesday night and my mechanic was trying to move it from the garage to a parking spot and it kept stalling. You guessed it it was the Service Column Lock shut off. No problem I got on Compliance Parts website and ordered a LMC5 and chose overnight shipping. Compliance Parts was GREAT and it was in the USPS' hands less than a half hour later. Woke up today and the USPS tracking showed it would be here by noon today. Well its almost 11 PM and its not here, the local post office says it is still in California, and calling the USPS 1-800 number I was told they can't track it beyond what I see online (online tracking last update says it was scanned in the LA post center at 11 PM Yesterday). So my Z sits outside tonight at the shop again. I doubt it'll show up tomorrow. Assuming it does not I will do the unthinkable and have it towed to my house so I can at least baby it into the garage until the USPS can get their SH*T together. Thanks for listening to my rant.

That's about par for USPS. Their tracking system is worthless and they have a habit of delivering our stuff to the wrong box, which leaves us having to make a claim with the shipper. We actively try to avoid using USPS when we order stuff because of so many problems in the past.
I feel your pain, I absolutely hate the USPS !!!! I had a remote mail box (1000 feet from my house) because they won't come down my dirt road. After 5 years and 5 mail boxes (destroyed) and 100's of dollars of missing packages I went with a PO Box. So I order anything online and they won't ship to a PO Box, Fine /// then UPS drops my packages off to, yep you guessed it the Post Office then it goes lost for 2 to 3 weeks
They only loose important items. Junk mail is delivered with great precision.
It took a week almost to get mine but I was not in the same position you are - that being locked out so to speak. The good news is you got your springs and at least it locked at your shop. There are some pretty nasty stories of those columns locking at very inconvenient times... Hope you are on the road soon...

With that said...Hope you get your stuff soon!
Also try to get a refund for unreceived mail/package you shipped.
I recently retired and sold my shipping/packing store and I can tell you that USPS tracking is for crap!!!!
If I personally want something shipped overnight, I go with FedEx first or UPS second.
The shipper can only request a refund on an overnight package and you still have to go threw red tape!!!
Watching with great sorrow at the continuing degradation and disintegration of government operations and services at all levels. I gave up expecting USPS delivery on time of anything I either send or expect to receive, even when paying additional fees for a specific delivery date. I don't think there is hardly a facet of government that hasn't been infected by mediocrity, corruption or just plain incompetence. I always hope for things to turn around and get us back to the great country that we were. Take care everyone!
About 10 years ago I received a package. The package was damaged. The cardboard was worn off on about a quarter of the box like it had been dragged or rubbing on something.
I talked to the manager of the USPS location where I picked it up (Mesa, AZ) and he was no help at all. In fact he said he can do anything he wants to it and there is nothing you can do about it. He said he could cut it in half and that was fine with the USPS.
With attitudes like that from a USPS manager, I try not to use them for anything if I can avoid it.
We are so lucky... UPS guy goes to our garage door and leaves packages in front of the door into the house...super nice guy... fedex just leaves it on the porch which is ok... usps leaves it in a bag hanging on the mail box, at the end of the drive way or leaves a note to pick it up at the post office which is open for about 1 hour a day at some random weird hour...that is usually time sensitive IRS crap...
hope you get your LMC5 module soon and get back to enjoying your C5..

Have you ever asked about getting a refund on a USPS money order? It takes up to 90 days to get a refund from them... even if they lose the money order.
I sent a USPS money order to a seller for an item. I sent it via registered mail. I paid 2 separate fees to ensure the money order made it to the seller. Days later it still hasn't arrived. I go to the post office. The registered letter (with the USPS money order) arrived at the post office, but they have no idea where it is or what happened to it. Can't help me, and I have no recourse.
They say, "you should have bought insurance!"
I say, "okay refund my money for the money order and I'll send him another."
They say, "we can refund after 90 days, IF no one cashes it in the mean time."
I say, "just go into the computer and cancel it!"
They say, "can't do that, not all post offices have computers so someone could still try to cash it."
I say, "you people need another raise!"
I will never use another USPS money order for anything.
Yup - USPS has some issues - I ordered a small Li-Po battery and when it came the mailman had to scan it when he delivered it to my house - so I never got it and the PO said it was delivered it on 00/00/00 and I said I never got it - and that was that - $40 bucks down the drain (my neighbor probably got it and just tossed it out) At least UPS & Fed x track it somewhat better
Be sure to get back on here and apologize when your package shows up today on time (regardless of tracking info).
Why would I do that? They've screwed up enough in the past that I get nervous anytime I see something is being sent by them. Whenever I receive a package from them, I usually feel relieved that it actually got here and didn't cause headaches. In my experience, the headache is much worse if a signature is required on the package as you end up getting to talk to several people who aren't excited to do their job and could care less about helping you.
