It is a wonderful gesture, but couldn't he sell it for $12K and donate that instead of raffling it off for $7500?

Seems like he is willing to let the car go for a lot less than he could get for it by selling it outright (depending on its condition). He could donate a lot more money to those causes that way.

I think a charity auction would even bring in more money than the $7500 raffle. Unless the car is junk.

I would only pay 7500.00 for it knowing I would have to immediately pay 5000.00 to have it repainted.

You have a point. Maybe it is only worth $7500 or less.

I think he is trying to sell 7500 tickets at $20 each. Which would be $150000.

Now that would be a great plan.

More specifically, Santistevan, is aiming to sell upwards of $7,500 raffle tickets at $20 a piece, with half of the money going to Intrepid Fallen Heroes and the other half going to Ten-82 Fund, benefiting the families of fallen law enforcement officers in New Mexico.

That looks like the same car I signed at the 2014 Funfest. He was having all the veterans sign the hood.
