Eh, a little Zaino and it will look new. Since the frame is not bent, it can be sent out to get fixed somewhat cheap (less than $500)
I became a flying roof club member twice in one day
A guy I knew was running his ZR-1 in the Pony Express 100 ORR, in Nevada. His targa top came off the car at over 150mph, went at least 100 feet into the air, and stuck upright in the ground next to the highway, like a tomahawk.
Quite a few saw it sticking in the ground and a couple took photos.
I owned five C4's and only removed the top once, on my first one. Driving the car at 60mph was like having a tornado inside. Reinstalled the roof and never removed one on any of my others, again.
It did suck, already bought a new top. Grabbed a yellow top in great shape and am going to try and wrap it in gloss black. Picked up the top for 350. 5ft by 3ft sheet of vinyl picked up for 30$.
A new hood should make the crappy situation a bit better. Which one did you end up going with? I recently sold my RK Sport High Rise and am working on installing the upgrade with the paint/body shop.

I ended up going with an acp hood. Why did you sell the rk sport? What's replacing it?

RK Sport was always there as a temporary look while I waited on MCM hoods to make a come back. After some talking with people on the subject I'm sure that's not going to happen so decided on an ACP vented hood as well in CF.

LOL - while that couldn't happen to me (b/c Z06) if it makes you feel any better few months ago I was getting my son into his car seat in my truck & throwing some gear in had my hands full & threw the keys to my vette including fob, 2 pairs of expensive aviator sunglasses, & my ipod on the tonneau cover while buckling him in.
Proceeded to drive down the road w/ all the stuff still sitting on top didn't even realize it, next day or 2 looking all over for my Z06 keys instead used a spare w/o the fob, on a run later in the day came across the sunglasses & pieces of the ipod smashed to bits on the side of my street

That sucks hard, at least you had a spare key and can get a fob for cheap. Hopefully the glasses weren't prescription, can get pricier than a roof.
Little update got the car back with the new hood on. Will be posting a couple new videos soon regarding the hood and the atoto deck with long term results.

Been almost a year since updating still alive. Still driving my c5, still love it. Did the ls2 pcv swap, turn one ps pump, ls2 pulley, and added door handle tweeters back. Also grabbed a mighty mouse catch can but need to figure out where to mount. Oh and my passenger visor mirror fell off today. Other than still going strong. Redid my stereo for the 10th time or so...
