1. saved 40 bucks or so by going almost twice what I do normally
2. cleaned everything just to go down my dirt road to make it dirty again
3. the blinker fluid was orange in the front and red in the rear, so I didn't change it
4. I'm going with the life time oil in the trans, because the lifetime of the car and driver is most likely less
5. and on a positive note (really) my screens are doing a great job keeping out the dirt and what have you bags out of the radiator and condenser
Lastly I just don't know what I would do without all this positive reinforcement I get here :cheers
darn, almost forgot the fluid in the tires was at 50% so I didn't change that !!!!!!!

Thanks for the info. Will have to check the blinker fluids. Thought they were on a closed circuit. I know something was wrong when I asked my blond girlfriend if they worked correctly and she said "yes, no, yes, no"
I use hydrogen in my tires because my car is the bomb.
If your NOT going to take any better care of your car than that I think you should give it to someone that will...
I promise I'd take real good care of it

I like working on the car so I usually get mine done between 3/5k depending on how busy I am.
I did mine after a track day even though it wasn't called for - Castrol Syntec - with Lucas synthetic oil stabilizer (that should launch another thousand threads) - yes - the 'gear machine' suckered me....

I will never judge any one that changes oil early. Now on the other hand the Lucas oil stabilizer is the worst thing you could put in your engine. You are increasing oil pressure at the loss of flow. This stresses the oil pump and causes more paracitic loss through the oiling system actually decreasing horse power. Now that you have that thick additive pumped att the way up to the top end of your engine at 5500 rpms and you are rounding a corner with a empty oil pan you start to hear a tapping noise as your bearings have been running without oil. Go back to that gear machine in the parts store and watch how fast the oil level drops and you are only turning it at best 50-80 rpm. Please do yourself a favor and research how bad oil additives are for your engine.

While oil additives have good things in them that our engines need they do not help the highly refined oils that are made today. Just like the human body your diet needs balance just like your engine needs a balanced oil package. With all the engineering in current oils the additives are so precisely calculated that they work with each other as a whole but when you then dump extra stuff on top of it they no longer work with each other and decrease the performance of the original oil you started with. I believe that amsoil has a very detailed write up of what I am trying to explain on there website.
The only additive a modern engine needs is detergent in the oil; or, more simply put, whatever the standard mobil 1 full synthetic or equivalent high quality oil has in it.
Older engines might want high-zinc or whatever.
If you know you need it, you need it. If you don't, just get the standard high quality oil.
