Do we have any WAZE'ers out there? I've started using it and will definitely have it running when I blast out to Carlisle tomorrow - BUT - I've read stuff about "false police plants" to fool you
I have used it a few times. I don't use it to speed but it does warn me if someone has reported a cop so I let my foot off the gas pedal. It definitely isn't 100% and I wouldn't depend on it to not get a ticket.
PS. Only use it if you have a proper mount for your phone.
It does help you to keep a lookout on your speed but I am a cruise control user from hell.
input your destination - it does a fantastic job of rerouting you around traffic jams in real time. Must have GPS on and it eats battery, so keep it plugged in!
It most definitely works on traffic rerouting. My wife uses it always and I was amazed how well it steered you away from heavy traffic and got you to your destination faster.

I use it occasionally but really haven't explored all the features the app offers. I normally use either the factory NAV in my DD or my Garmin Nuvi in our other cars.
I use it on trips but not on a daily basis. Used it on Hot Rod Power Tour this year (long hauler) and also up and back from the Woodward Dream Cruise last week. I run it on a small tablet sitting on my right leg. I've definitely seen LEOs on the side of the road that it didn't warn me of, but usually those are in light traffic situations where maybe there hasn't been another active Wazer for a while. Of course those are the situations where you may most likely be running a little faster than the LEOs would let you by with...
Hi Guys, Im a c4 guy who has been lurking on the c5 because i think i'll pick up a 97 in the next 6months over winter. Anyway, in my c4 which I drive like a race car, I use both a radar detector and waze. i have ALWAYS seen the cops coming.
I could care less about the gps features as apple maps or google maps app for pretty much any phone will do that for you.
google bought waze btw. waze and trapster were the two big ones. when google bought waze, trapster bailed out.
Love it. Warns you when you exceed posted limit, lets others follow your route, sends ETA to whomever and gives adequate notice of collisions, cops, cars on side of road (?) and construction. I leave it plugged in and use the voice commands
I use it quite often. It is very helpful as mentioned above. As for bogus police sightings, there is a feature which asks you to confirm if the police is really there. The info goes away if enough wazers press the no button.
It's community driven app. If people don't report anything, then it's just another gps app. So if you use it make sure to register and start reporting. It's fun trying to build up your score too.

I'm not sure what you mean. I had it on coming back from Carlisle yesterday and it never gave me an alternate route, just told me the travel conditions ahead and where the accident was.
