My clutch master cylinder died and sprayed/poured fluid down the frame and under the car a bit. I got what I could off of everything, but I went back and wiped again yesterday and the rag removed a lot of loose paint. In some spots down to the metal or maybe undercoating.
Note: the body paint was untouched. This is all the black frame paint.
Is there a treatment I should use to try and neutralize whatever brake fluid remains?
And does someone know the correct color and type of paint I would want to use to match and protect those areas again?
The issue is less so on the vertical side of the frame and moreso under the car.
brake fluid does not play well with paint, as you have just learned the hard way. no way to "neutralize" it...if you don't get it off the paint in a matter of seconds, it begins to chemically dissolve the paint and that cannot be undone...clean it off and repaint is your only option...

How many miles were on it? Were you a regular 'turkey baster fluid replacer?'
Car is still under 65k. I've been a turkey baster. Current McLeod RST is 2 years old and has maybe 3k miles on it. I had seen once where the master had leaked prior to my ownership but it had never done so since I bought it in 2012.
Mainly, I want to farm out my valvetrain upgrades: springs, straub trunnion fix, pushrods since I have only done it once over a decade ago on an LT4, so I don't really trust my work. Also, I might be willing to pay someone to bleed the slave cylinder. The summer is over and I want to get the car tuned and driving before the roads get cold. Work I would wait and tackle myself one my once or twice a month when I have a part day free, I now am willing to cough up for just to get it wrapped. Plus, my CCW sp500s are coming SOON.
