Snowing and 26 degrees in Colorado now. My baby's parked in her new garage and I will put her up on blocks and plug in the battery tender over the weekend. Winter's here.

AFAIK blocks are not recommended; unnatural suspension position.
Hi Joe, I'm in 48170 as well, also with a 99 coupe! Deceptively nice blue skies today, but cold weather is really not nice to these cars. Quite apart from the snow ground clearance (not a problem yet), everything just gets brittle and squeeky.
This is only month 3 or so that I've had a Corvette, but my C5 was running nice with 50° temperatures in Philadelphia yesterday. I did hear a few squeaks and rattles and mine is normally pretty quiet...but the LS1 was just running soooo smooth. When I got it in August and drove for 6 straight hours in 97° temperatures with stifling humidity...yeah, the LS1 didn't seem to like that much. I'm convinced these things run optimally at 50-60°...this is the best it's been running since I got it.
The forecast here is 84 degrees for today, just like it was yesterday and will be tomorrow and Saturday and.... I think I will take a 10 minute cruise to the beach in the Corvette with my wife and have a nice walk along the beach this morning. Then cruise along the coast on Gulf Shore Blvd.
transplanted from ERIE, PA to the Carolina Coast in 1986. For us, it has been top-down ever since. Here, with the heater on, it is vert weather 10-11 months a year and its always Vette months. There in Erie it was a case of drive your Vette 6 months a year to the Show n' Shines. That is why I have found so many good, pristine used Vettes in Erie. At that they had 2 rival Corvette Clubs in the 70's
Today. it was 75 and sunny here in Charleston. Will get some cold spells soon, maybe in the fifties. and in January we will see some night freezes and sub 30's temps . Black ice and broken pipes are the big winter issues. But. it does not seem to be bothersome
