365-days a year of Vette weather here. Right now it's 76 deg. and gorgeous here in SoCal. Here's the view out of my home office window a few minutes ago.
And the back . . .
Had a freak storm a couple of years ago in December. We had recently moved from the Midwest to get away from this!
yep they are the ones with all the electrical issues !!! makes no sense to drive mine in the winter, this will be the first winter in over 30 years I don't have a 4x4 truck. (I do have a winter beater)

That my friend is a Spectacular view, with or without snow !!!
Had my c5 out in it today, sporadic showers, snow sticking to the roadways, people driving like its 80 degrees, no salt trucks out yet, so should be ok, all of my electrical problems were with chewed through wiring to the wheel ends and shocks,, all fixed and no more service active handling messages.
Just moved from Boston to N.C. 1,000 miles south.
no more winter storage for my BluBelle.
After that 100+ inches of snow in February 1015.
Then 20 days at -19 degrees ( I got pictures ).
I said 'screw this'....
DONE!!!
Picture is during Feb storm
Nothing sticking on the Boston North Shore today. I drove the vert in to work with the top up (I hate to do that, but it was in the high 30s, and that temp at 70 mph is a bit much). I'll keep driving until the first salt hits the roads, using my winter beater on rainy/snowy days.
I've driven the ZO6 in the snow a couple of times. Performance tires suck in snow but what can you do when it wasn't suppose to snow and you have to get home!
Anyway,, If you don't like the weather in the North East, Just wait 15 Minutes!
Yep. It SNOWED last night (just enough to make the grass white) and now its in the upper 30's. Tomorrow its suppose to be back in the 50's and sunny.
.....as long as you don't have to go up much of a hill - and take my word for that!
There's a sharp down and up on the road I have to use to get to the house. The only way to manage it in snow is to really goose it on the way down so you are going fast enough at the bottom to pretty much get up the other side on momentum, try to drive down slowly and go up the other side with any amount of gas, and you won't make it.
I never plan to drive in snow, but occasionally I get caught away from home when it starts snowing. The Michelin Pilot A/S's do vey well, considering they are not snow tires.

Hi Joe, I'm in 48170 as well, also with a 99 coupe! Deceptively nice blue skies today, but cold weather is really not nice to these cars. Quite apart from the snow ground clearance (not a problem yet), everything just gets brittle and squeeky. I have the roof off 90% of the time, so it's gets a bit fresh too. Prob over thanksgiving mines going to get wax and a blanket till April. Typically spend the winter dragging components into the basement when the wife's not looking (new seat bolsters planned for this year).
