If you are traveling through Kentucky, especially after dusk, use extreme caution (even more so if in you Vette with stock lights). In a 100 mile trip last night I had to dodge two deer carcasses still in the roadway in multiple pieces parts. I have been traveling back and forth the state every weekend this year and deer are a common site but now is hunting season and the deer are on the move. I had a very close call with a buck while driving in my truck and it would not have been pretty.
I guess most states have to deal with deer but I just noticed that this year appears to be particularly bad year.
A lot of folks don't realize how much damage a animal the size of a deer can do, I had a friend hit one in a full size truck and the collision flipped the animal over the hood and into the windshield, he was very lucky.
This time a year they are everywhere and it definitely pays to be careful.
The wife and I just traveled to the Corvette Museum from Illinois. The deer were everywhere along the roads we traveled in Kentucky as well. With the lights on my C5 it was a nerve wrecking drive that night coming back.
It was worth it to see the museum and the plant tour.

Yeah, the deer here in Missouri are out and about since it is deer season. You always have to wad her the sides of the road for one that might jump out in front of you.
