Heres a quick idle and 4k rev. I'm happy with how it sounds, it does have some drone in 6th gear under 67mph. Keep in mind this is with the MN12 gearing, I'm not sure how it would differ in an MN6. I'm not really driving it to hard just yet, as I'm still waiting on the tune

Nice work. If I ever need to have my 6 rebuilt, I want to go with the 12 gear set. I loved the Z06 I drove.

Quick update: I ended up having the car street tuned by Mark Rios, I've hears nothing but good things. And after working with him, I can see why. The idle is improved, driveability improved, and I can definitely feel a power increase. Not to mention I'm now getting 32mpg on the highway.

I've been pretty busy at work, but I'm looking at trying to powder coat my own wheels in the up coming weeks

Been a while, but finally back to making some changes.

First off, I still had a small oil consumption issue even after fixing the old PCV line. It wasn't nearly as bad, but our homemade fix wasn't working as well as I had hoped. So I ordered an LS6 valley cover, which bolted right in with out cutting the block at all. And I tore out all the AIR system tubing and pump while I had the manifold off.

Next, I was going to paint the rear bumper and after doing some research, I decided to have a professional tape off my bumper so the lines would be straight. And i would paint it myself. BUT, I ended up having the shop do everything for $100 out the door, and I couldn't be happier. It looks even better in person, and I was told to come back if anything chipped or peeled off. Money well spent in my opinion

Still waiting on the cam swap, I'm going to discuss some details with the shop this weekend

Nice to know the LS6 valley cover fits with no mods needed to the block

Yea, mine is a base also. Had the 2.73 rear end when I bought it

Anyways, I finally made it down to Florida. So I ended up getting some tint.

Also, has anyone ever heard of Vettes Unlimited? I hear they work on all years, but I saw mainly C3s outside. I may go check them out since I don't have a garage down here

The 2001-2004's use the same short block as the LS6.
