Hood louvers
Personally I would take that $2K and spend it on heads, or a 3.73 stage-4 RPM diff, but I'm also particular to the race car look (big Lemans fan here), and almost all the serious competitive C5's use the Trackspec vents.
Opinion, opinion, opinion hahah! I definitely go against the grain for most Corvette folk
Everything I do to my car is function over form, and the vent panels offered much needed cooling, and reduced a LOT of lift at speeds above 150, for (comparatively) dirt cheap.

dont be quick to assume stuff my friend, my hood fits fine when i used the factory mounting points, ( latches etc... )
i use 4 hood pins to keep this thing on, when i open the hood i have to remove the hood completely off the car, without a guide its very hard to get 4 holes to match completely perfect, i didnt want to keep drilling holes on the hood or on the car just to get it completely perfect, after its not build for show, but for performance in mind
... how flush does yours fit around the contours of the hood?... I was concerned with it leaving gaps around the edges
but otherwise they fitquite nicely
the edges fit tight with minimal fuss.
Ok, some Ferarris, Mercedes, AM, some Porsche etc. I think you know what I meant. Those cars are @ a different price point of course but the owners are still not sticking a big lump on their HOOD so that is all that you notice. not something that blends, flows, and actually enhances the car.Aftermarket hoods with multiple vents, scoops, louvers, five inches tall, poor fit BUT comes in faux CF for $599...where do I sign?

I'd rather have something that blends, flows, and actually enhances the car.
