I have been waiting for years for someone to develop hood louvers for the C5. I don't want a bunch of extra extra body parts laying around. If anyone is interested check out tracspecmotorsports.com. Really a great product and can be self installed if you like. Great price also
Good price and you wouldn't have any fitment issues. The labor would probably be much more than the vents even without paintwork, prbably more than an aftermarket vented hood. I wonder if an experienced person could install these without needing paintwork afterwards.

ditto, I have also considered the seibon tm hood and I would love a black dog hood but they are $$$$$$... I was going to put one of the trackspec vents on my hood before a 1/2 mile event I went to recently but I couldn't decide which vent(s) to go with and I ran out of time... after doing that event I don't think I would have really needed it but I am still not opposed to trying one out, seems like it would be worth a try for the price
Oh great idea, keep the motor cool and wet in the rain!!! I would have been dead with only one of these on a recent road trip when got hit with a rain storm from hell.

Although I live in the sunshine state and the sun shines everyday, in the summer we can have some serious rain storms and that is a major concern for me here.

this is the vent I was wanting to go with from trackspec... in my opinion the t1 looks too small and also looks weird mounted in the middle of the hood, the gt2 looks much better to me but if you mount it down towards the front it is wider than the humps in the hood and I was concerned about it not sitting flush... I would be pretty upset if I cut a big hole in the hood and then find out there's gaps all over the place between the hood and vent, that would look cheesy and too much like an add on
That is my car that patches put a picture up of, and I did my own install, and it wasn't that nerve wracking. Definitely need to be comfortable with power tools, and having some body works experience also helps. I put my Trackspec vents in a custom location, much lower on the hood, so you can see mg Callaway intake
If you want me to post more pictures, or share a little insight, just let me know I got a wicked looking hood for less than $400, already painted haha!
I'd rather have nothing, than buy some abortion like 'corvette
summer'hood. Making the car rise visually in the food chain, looking like it belongs to 'circus performers'!
You don't see F1, Porsches,Lambos etc. out fitted with hoods of the like, why?
I rest my case.
