2003 CD 12 Pack Player
I just purchased a 2003 A/E and have noticed the sound from the cd player is only on the drivers side. Any tips for putting it into stereo? Thanks...Scott

As for the sound; does the radio play from both sides? If it does then it's either the player unit or the wiring from it to the head unit would be my guess. Even if something is in "mono" mode, both channels should have sound.
When I had trouble with my player, I ripped it out and put in a new head unit from Dennis at DD. It has an SDHC slot so I've got a TON of music to random play now.

I would start with the simple things first like checking to see if the balance setting for the radio is fully toward the drivers side instead of centered. Should be a button on the radio that is labeled BAL. Touch it lightly to get the button to extend and then check its position to see if it is full counter clock wise. Move it clockwise to obtain the desired left/right balance.

Thank you for the replies. I'm going to check the wiring today. I did play with the balance, etc. and nothing worked. Radio does play from all speakers so I have to believe like you mention, it's in the wiring some where. Thanks again for your help.

Good luck. It could even be the unit itself - a lot of things "could" be the problem. Let us know how you make out.
