The year it was made !!!! Sorry man had to do it, probably they number the part so they know what part goes to each car in case the part fails. That's my guess.

Looks like a salvage yard mark, as mentioned above, to me. Perhaps it's an LS6 intake someone installed from a salvage car? Hard to tell from the photo.

It could be a work order number, perhaps if a shop had disassembled and was keeping track of parts for specific cars via the work orders.

That was my first guess also.

If you can see the part number on the manifold, post it and we can tell you if it is an LS6 manifold or not.
