I would like advice on procuring decent exhaust tips for my C5 (2000). Stainless, chrome, etc. Size? Best place to shop? Thanks.

If all you want is new exhaust tips, just check with the major parts vendors here on the forum. They sell them, usually as a bolt on part (using screws). I would consider getting them tack welded if you go that route. A good exhaust shop can do the job without really seeing the weld spot and can get them straight.

Another option, although a lot more expensive, is to find a used aftermarket catback system that you like and ditch the stock one. The better sound is well worth the cost IMO.
