Anyone attempt to add cornering lights to their c5? I know some c4's had them and I've only seen positive comments. I had them on a couple of cars and liked them very much.

I would be interested in following any ideas on this. I had them on my 97 Eldorado and they were nice to have.

Are you talking about drilling into the front fenders to add a sidemarker turn light? That's a great idea actually and definitely worth exploring. I have them on my BMW and it has definitely prevented a possible collision on the highway.
I was hoping do a "stealth " install perhaps under the front bumper on the outside of the side air dams? I saw a great one, I think by Hella that has yaw sensors and follows the path as you turn. Only problem is they belong on 4x4's.
I have to explore what kind of light that could produce useful light. I have "bolt lights" under my hood. They are bright there but I probably wouldn't see them if I were driving.
The ones on my Maxima were great.

following this as it sounds interesting.
But Radio Flyer ACAs................are the best
I've said it before a bunch of times
Just spitballing ideas, you could consider mounting them on the headlight shrouds. You only need them at night anyways. You just have to make sure they are aimed properly so they don't blind anyone. Not sure if that would be considered too high.

Great idea! That needs exploration. First thought is that a bolt light should easily work. Just have to figure rear clearances, but will it be bright enough?
Ham, George's ACA's are headlight replacements. I'm looking for a light like the other 2 guys are referring to, for when you make a low speed turn.
Incorporating a driving light into a pop up design has been on my drawing board for quite some time. To me there is no question how useful driving lights are in filling out the lighting patterns while cornering, however I want to keep the clean OEM look to the front end without extra projectors or LED housings being obvious.
I've designed and am currently r&d-ing a lower opening Bixenon projector assembly that will incorporate a rectangular LED aircraft landing light as a driving light.
I'm still looking for the right automotive LED for a possible production version but the selection, while growing rapidly is limited in pattern spread especially in LED.
The aviation industry has far more coverage spread options atm however power requirements are different.
...now if I could just figure out how to fit an adaptive LED system into that little tiny space...
