For sure. I dig the new Camaro, but in the same way I like Victorian houses. Very nice, appreciate the style, but not really my taste (same for the Challenger and Mustang to lesser degrees), I can't imagine buying one.

It does not outperform a Z06. It outperforms the GS and is close to the Z06. I would still go with the GS. Much better looking car. I actually like what GM's doing with the Camaro, but feel I would regret choosing one over the Vette.

Edit: My mistake. You were referencing the OP regarding the 2017 ZL1 posting better lap times than the C7Z. I wouldn't be surprised if they're close.

I would. The Camaro is much heavier than the Vette...

Default The ZL1 would be the ultimate Chevy if the c7 didn't exist

I have owned a 95 TA in high school circa 2001
it was awesome but i really wanted a c5 could afford it. Just a poor kid that worked his A** off.

I purchased an 04 z06
no comparison

my 07 z06 even better.

than I had kids went to '10 ctsv sedan 6spd manual.
hated it 4300 lb tank.

I thought i needed more fun relive my HS days w a bad seat for kids so went with a 15 z/28. Can't see anything bunker like visibility

i forget bc of all the hype that I had a 4Runner as a daily so I don't need 4 seats btw I could enjoy my car with my wife in it anyways. I dove my cars like a G pa
with her in it otherwise I would be told too.

I traded the z28 for a 13 z06/z07

i now have a 17 z06/z07 7M and will never go back to a muscle car.

Weight isn't everything. Take a look at the Z28 Camaro. Under powered, over weight, and it still tracks better than the C7Z. (Except w/Z07 trim, if I'm not mistaken.) With the right prep, a heavy car can knock the socks off a lighter car.

I'd rather have a GT350. The Camaro looks are just boring, interior sucks, and the blind spots annoying.

Haven't seen a brand new Camaro dash, but if it's anything like this... yech, agree.

And after trying a GT350 on the track I can assure you that it is an amazing and very well balanced car.
And it's easy on the eyes.
