1997 throttle body replacement
Hello I'm looking for my dad who has run into a problem with his 1997 corvette throttle body. We took it to a dealer today to have it fixed, but come to find out the part is discontinued and the after market parts "don't look like they fit" from what the worker told us. He is looking for some help on what to do thanks!

Any drive-by wire LS1/6 throttle body will work, and a good Corvette recycler can get you one. Be careful with just any used LS1/6 throttle body though, as LS GTO and F-body application cars utilized a wired throttle body which will not work on the C5.The style of throttle body for the Corvette was changed with the introduction of the LS2 on the C6, and with the last C5 being made nearly 14 years ago now obviously an OEM replacement would be very difficult to find.
The throttle body is simple enough to change out that you can do it at home with common tools.
