the smaller superchargers are in the $2500 range and the bigger ones up to $4-4500, bracket is in the $800 range, intercooler is in the $800-1000 range, then all the piping, clamps, bov, and other misc odds and ends so it adds up fast... and his price might include a meth kit also, he would have to let us know what all is included
Kit cost $5k by itself $2k more for install and tune by people who will do it right and get it done is cheap. But........this is not the end of the story, if you drive it hard, stuff is gonna break.

Bah, too many people downplay tires. They spend $7,000 on a supercharger installation plus extras and then whine when they see the $350 tag on tires. Makes no sense. You'd think they would get a bit more attention, being the only thing connecting that monster to the road.
Your not wrong about people's concept of spending money or the need for traction with a SC. My comments were more about the idea of the auto transmission being bullet proof I believe most consider it to be the weakest link in the drive chain. I probably should have just said that and not attached my comment to yours about tires except to say spinning bad tires is probably better than blowing out the A4 if it hooks too well.
Yep, I'm out in left field on this one....everything for me is an adventure in sticker shock when it comes to stuff for our toys...and I thought bike stuff was expensive?
A&A did my 02 about 12 Years ago. Drove it for 7 years and sold it. Only problem I had was one of the pulleys quit and took out the serpentine belt. Great for getting on the freeway and occasional adrenaline rush. Anybody who took a ride in it always said the same thing "holy sh#t" when I jumped on it. Well worth the money for the .025% of the time that you use it. A&A tuned mine I think it had 10 runs on the dyno getting it perfect. It always passed smog and the rwhp was 473.

Reason: Bad memory
It's going to cost you more than $7,000 in the long run, with new tires(stickier) new trans and maybe gears. Plus more added heat to the Motor could cause more electrical problems, burning thru wires.
What's the point of getting a supercharger if you can't put all that power to the ground. Just saying, Something to think about. In the long run I would say anywhere between $15-$20,000
IMO get used to fixing your own stuff when things break owning a supercharger veh.

Welcome to the club. I'm over the shock since I've been modding the car since I bought it 14 years ago.

depends which type, if it's a centrifugal like an a&a kit those use an intercooler and the roots/screw type blowers cannot use an intercooler but instead they have a heat exchanger which is essentially trying to accomplish the same thing
