Question Rough ride
My 03 50th Annv vert::
Maybe I'm getting older, well not maybe but I am. Lol
My ride seems really stiff especially in the rear. It feels like I'm
In sport mode x3. Little bump in the hwy, "Curplop"!!
You know I have that magnetic ride, anyone have any ideas??
Thanks guys!!

You're rough ride is most likely due to the original dealership preppers and everyone else that's been under your 03' AE has missed the fact that Shock Stuffers are still in your shocks.
Believe it or not, it isn't uncommon for 03' Anniversary Editions or 04' Commemorative Editions to still have these suckers in there. This forum helped me find and remove mine, and the Vette had 40k miles.
Anyway, it's a very simple fix. Just jack up the car, look for a yellow tab coming out of the shock boot, compress the shock boot up with one hand and pull the yellow tab with the other, then you will see a 1 1/2" piece of hard white plastic pop out of your shock. You probably definitely have them in your rear shocks by the way your issue sounds, so I would start there.
There are several threads on this - just Google search C5 Corvette Shock Stuffers and you will find plenty of info. You will notice a HUGE difference in ride quality in the Touring Mode after you remove these, but not so much in the Sport Mode.
Hope this helps!

Perhaps a long shot but are you certain the shock stuffers were removed??

Without the ignition on, there should be very little dampening from the shocks. Again, without turning on the car, bounce the rear, it should move rather easily. If not, I am betting that the shipping "stuffers" are still in there.
Good luck, mine has been a gem to own and drive.

Something else like bad shocks maybe. That can't be good? I have that magnetic
Ride system and sounds like money. Tomorrow I go to the Steelership. We will see what they say. Any other ideas, thanks so much!!
