Default Dual zone climate control

For the first time in 15yrs I decided to try and use the passenger side ac temperature control.I turned the **** and nothing changed.the only way to adjust the temp is by using the driver side control. Is there something else that has to be done first or is the passenger side control not working?

Your passenger side is not working. When I had my '02 all I had to do was turn the passenger side and it would change.

Be aware, the passenger side control only changes the temperature "moderately"; it's not a "full range" control like the driver's side.

And the passenger side will not change the temp reading in the display.

Basically, the passenger side allows you to set temp up to +/- 10 degrees from the driver's side. There is no feedback other than the actual vent air temperature.

With the ignition on but engine off, when you turn the passenger dial if you listen carefully, you can hear the vents opening/closing.

As others mentioned, passenger **** won't affect the display. That's why there's a white line on the passenger **** and not the driver's ****. It only controls the passenger vents and how much air flows to them is my understanding.
