passenger side temp control doesn't work

At what temperature is the driver's side set? Is it cold on that side?
Since you just bought the car, you may not be aware of the way this works:
When the passenger side is set to the 12:00 (center) position, the driver and passenger side are both set to the temp selected by the driver's side, then the passenger can vary his/her side slightly up and down if desired. This is how it works, unless the driver is set to full up (90°F) or full down (60°F), then the passenger setting will have no effect.
The display will not change with the passenger adjustment.
