It had 29290 on the odometer when I bought it 6 weeks ago.
Trust me....I intend to rack up some miles.
It is the thought of not driving it I find abhorrent.

Be careful taking pics while driving.

Hope you have many more trouble free miles with the car. Someday maybe there will be another zero behind that number.

Nice color. I always liked green Vettes. Can't figure why that color seems to be so unpopular.

Funny, my 97 just turned 60,000 yesterday. Plenty of good miles left in them both.

Funny, I kicked over 30k a few weeks ago too. Folks always presume when one of these has low miles that you are the original purchaser and haven't been driving it all these years, rather than what I think is far more common which is buying one from the former to drive. In retrospect, I've spent more money fixing a few things on this 30k mile car than a few cars I bought that had 120-140k miles on them...so mileage ain't everything for sure. Some of us are low annual mileage drivers too for the record, I drive maybe 4-5k miles a year - split that between 2 cars and it takes a long time to rack up miles.

Mine's somewhere over 130 just drove it for 16 straight hours, only problem was the tensioner pulley put in its 2 week notice. I changed that and back to normal.

I have a 120 mile RT commute everyday. I use my other car for that.

Here is a question.....
The car shows build date as 9/97. Is there a way to get an exact build date (the day of the month too)?
It's 20th birthday is next month and I sure would like to know the exact day. Is this something Chevrolet could tell me?

Just getting broken in.

I think with supplying the VIN they could tell you when it rolled off the production line.

Yes. All Corvettes 1984+ can have that information pulled at the National Corvette Museum. They will give you the date and the exact time. I didn't even think to look at it on mine, my car is an April Fool EDIT: Or I can't read the cut off date very easily, looks like 4/17/03 in my case.

700 miles in 6 weeks? What all is wrong? I think my first drive was a bit longer than 800 miles, and I don't have functional A/C yet...
