Default cam recomendations

I have on 03 z06 (obviously a manual 6spd) with 83k miles that is a daily driver and a track car on weekends. I am looking for recommendations for a mild-moderate cam with less than .600 lift that will give a decent power bump across rpm without really loosing low end, and a somewhat mean sounding idle without having terrible street/ daily manners nor take too big of a s**t on mpg either. I know I'm probably asking for a unicorn of a cam but the ones I have in mind or similar are: TSP 224r or 224/228 both 112lsa .600/.600, Tick performance's torquemax stage 1 milder lobes 222/226 111+2lsa .600/.600 or Cam Motion's titan 2 221/226 112+2lsa .595/.586. Current mods are 1 3/4" LT headers into 3" high flow cats 3" x-pipe into stock titanium mufflers (upgrading to corsa mufflers or similar after cam), full vararam ram air/ cold air intake into stock ls6 TB and ls6 manifold. After cam plan on getting the stock ls6 heads cnc ported or find a pair of ls6 heads already ported and then sell mine, then upgrade to 90mm TB and Fast 92 manifold after the cam and heads.

honestly i was going to do the same..for the same money you can supercharge it and gain way more hp and still drive to work everyday.

The Cam Motion Titan 2 LS1 camshaft is a great camshaft for a daily driver. It will have a mild, slight performance idle with drivability much like stock and an excellent power increase.

If you want a little hot rod lope to the idle, but even more power and still very good drivability, step up to the Titan 4 LS1 camshaft. We are glad to make you a custom version with .595" total lift at NO EXTRA CHARGE.

We also have all of the complimentary components that you may need for installation including: Valve Springs, Lifters, Gaskets, Pushrods, Fasteners etc. In stock and ready to ship.

I have seen a few video and audio clips of the "normal" Titan 4 and it sounds aggressive. Would this revised version with .595/.595 lift sound about the same at idle? What kind of springs would you suggest for use with this cam?

The slight change in lift will have no effect on the idle sound. For springs, you can run our .625" lift LS beehive springs, our Budget .650" lift LS dual spring kit or our Premium .660" lift LS valve spring kit.

Sounds very similar to the setup on the LS6 engine in my '99 FRC that the PO put together. He went with a custom Comp grind 226/230 .598"/.610" 113 LSA with Comp 26926 dual springs. She has a nice hot rod lope to the idle but is still very driveable.
