Advice? Disable the Twilight Sentinal option if equipped. Make the headlights pop up as least as possible.
I don't think I have this option. But I'm still in the process of reading the owners manual for my car.

Kudo's on raising it back up.. it kinda looked like a bag of dicks before. That look did not suit your car at all. Much better slightly lowered on the stock bolts.

I think you need tint next, and a shorty antenna.

Sounds like you want to keep the budget in check on this one, So I gotta throw out the $150 ECS tune recommendation! I think that and a $240 Vararam intake will keep you more than happy with the car performance wise!

Lmfao, thanks for the advice. I'm still researching on which CAI. You are correct, trying to keep this one on a budget. Plan of removing pup cats, install an LS6 intake, cai and a tune. I should be good for a while after that. I'll be saving up for a cam in the future.

Recently purchased a C6 shifter and **** today. I had purchased a Hinson shifter, but it was just too notchy for me.

Ya the Hinson shifter is not ideal. I also have the C6 shifter. For a while I was running just the C6 shifter and a Vararam and was more than happy with the car. In retrospect I wish I would have just added an ECS tune and called it a day.

"Rear view mirror is loose" - you are referring to the one inside the car? Mine is loose as well and I haven't figured out a solution....

I tightened the torx screw on mine and it's all good now. Nice and tight.

Getting pup cats removed as I type this. Here's a view from under my C5. Still don't know who makes those headers.
This car has a 2.5" Magnaflow system. No wonder the car is semi quiet at idle and cruising around.

Completed!! Wow! What a difference! Sounds so much better at higher rpms. More power for sure. Reason was, whoever put that system together for the original owner, welded the pup cats right up on the main cats, which created a big bottleneck in the exhaust. The car pulls much harder now, all across the range.

Nice looking car and a reasonable, easy to accomplish game plan.

Default LS6 Intake

Picked up an LS6 intake at a smoking deal from a local forum member. Will be cleaning it up and purchasing some fresh gaskets for it. It came off his 04 C5 with 50k miles on it. Looking at tips on installing this. Some people are saying to grind off the ribs on the bottom and loose the pads. Any comments on that??

while you have the LS6 intake off of the car you may want to have the snout modified to fit an LS2 throttle body. That 90mm setup will yield some decent gains.

Any reason why you went with the LS6 intake instead of the Dorman/Fast 90mm intake that runs ~$350 new?

Because the FAST intakes are going for 500+ used. I got this one for $200.

No FAST sold the rights and molds to their old intakes to Dorman
https://www.dormanproducts.com/p-87302-615-901.aspx
It's a FAST but sonic welded together, has a 90mm opening and goes for around ~$350

Oh, I thought the Dorman intake was better than LS1 intake, but still not as good as the LS6 intake?

So it's actually a FAST design and should be better than a LS6?

Yes, the latest Dorman is identical to the first gen FAST intake as they bought the molds and rights to them, except they're sonic welded together. Lots of info out there about it.

It's called Twilight Sentinel, Coupes and Verts have it, FRC was optional and not avail on a Z06.

On you DIC : Press the OPTIONS button until TWILIGHT - ON
appears on the display, then use the RESET button to page through the following selections:

TWILIGHT - ON
DELAY TIME 1 2
TWILIGHT - OFF

If you choose TWILIGHT - ON, the next message
DELAY TIME 1 2 will appear in the DIC. Use the
OPTIONS button to switch between delay time 1 and 2.

You can increase the delay time by pressing button 1 or decrease the time by pressing button 2. Each bar is equal to 12 seconds.
