Default LMC5 Question

I've had my 03 Z06 w/31000 mile for 7 weeks now or so.
first mod I did was the CAGS, Then new valve springs with plugs and wires and lastly the LMC5.
After 10 - 15 Start ups I get the "Pull key wait 10 Seconds" message.
I pull the key and wait the 10 sec and everything is fine no message for another 10 - 15 start ups.
Anyone know why? Should I do the "brown wire"?

Thanks

I had to do the brown wire mod because I got this message that was never there before the mod.

Just do the brown wire mod and be done with it once and for all.

I'll do it later today.
Did you cut the brown loop wire ? As per the directions?

I followed the directions to the T, yes, that had to be cut, just follow them and do not miss a step and you should be golden

I'm looking at the directions and I don't see exactly where the brown wire goes , the diagrams don't show exact location.
Do I install the brown wire next to the LMC5 green wire which is in the large pink connector?

The Brown wire mod was the the very last step in this installation, it said it was "optional" if you have still trouble with pull key after installing the LMC5 but It turns out that like 95% of these installs needed this "Brown Wire mod" so people who are doing this should just install the Brown wire mod and be done with it.

I still have the install instructions in the trunk of my car if anyone needs it, I can scan them and send it to you or try to take a pic of them.

Earlier versions of the LMC5 (4 years ago) did not have that brown wire fix. Installed mine before the fix. I get the message about 1 in 10 start times. I just wait 10 sec and all is well.

Some say not so , but I have installed the LMC-5 deal 2 years back works fine ,but if you or maybe just me turn the steering wheel with out the Ing. on the waning will pop up .. Even with the LMC- 5 deal install the C-5 thinks someone is steeling it .. It happens to me .. So don't do that ..
