To call a wrap or respray RICE is actually kind of ignorant. As long as the owner likes it that's all that matters.

Chasboy -- Do you know what the color name or wrap that is on that Huracan? That looks killer
Actually the term RICER had its inception in the 80s to mock hopped up japanese cars. In the 90s Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement was created to redefine and turn the RICER term less offensive to.. well, ricers.

Yep, that appears to be pretty similar, if not the same film. Thanks. Would have alot of potential on a C5 with the curves and body lines.

Oh heck yeah!!! I’ve seen a number of color wraps of c5’s and if any car was a natural....I’m fascinated by technological advances in....anything
Orange wraps look great, but my faves are colorshift/flip wraps where the car is orange from one angle and something else from the other. I think a guy on the FB group showed his. I loved it. If I had guts I would do it myself.
Almost every C5 I’ve seen in non factory colors looks great, even colors I usually don’t like.

JR, sorry i miss understood the information about waxing vinyl wraps.
if you have the high gloss vinyl like i do you can polish it, and once a month is fine. Its the matt vinyls that shouldn't be. I apologize for the wrong info.

Yeah, I LOVE the chameleon colors. There are some pretty schaweeeet options out there in those. IF I was more proficient with working with vinyl I might try to do my own wrap...that's a big project to take on for yourself if you aren't used to that big a project.

Is the wrap you used as glossy as the paint?

I would love to get my black 99 wrapped in orange. My 99 paint is in rough condition so I need to do something with it. Hmnnnnnn

GOOGLE ‘orange c5 corvette” and then go to images. They look so good, and I really feel GM missed the mark with that color.

Agreed. There are many shades/tones of orange that look amazing on the C5. The Lamborghini Arancio Orange Pearl (3 layer Orange pearl with the gold pearl in the mid layer) would look AMAZEBALLS on the C5.

No question. That’s what makes wrap such an intriguing option. I’ve seen a number of Lambo’s in that color and it’s dynamite.
There’s a local guy with a C5 in a Lamborghini pearl/dark grey bluish color that is also terrific.

Yes, always liked this car, but this was paint. I think it was House of Kolors. I recall when the guy was building this, put a lot into it, then ran out of money and sold it. I am sure you can get a wrap now that looks pretty close though.

Not gonna wrap my medium spiral Gray vert, but love the look. Have been considering subtle stripes and really like the 'not in your face' colors you used.

If I did anything, it would be to see if I could find a company that could figure out a way to duplicate the 1969 ZL1 front hood stripe for the C5.

Then, maybe switch the Z06 to Dark Rose Metallic wrap.
