I like it, I was going to have mine wrapped in a candy apple red just for a different look but I keep spending my wrap money on performance mods and the price around here is about 2k to fully wrap a C5

Shop in MA quoted me $3700 for a full wrap - they're a reputable outfit not simply doing advertising wraps on vans, specialize in high-end cars, paint protection films, detailing etc.
If I bring in yearly for a detail/check-up they honor/match the manufacturer warranty of 7 years though.
I dunno though if it makes sense for me since I do have some blemishes & the factory paint is not very high quality to begin with (dont get me wrong - for a 15-16 year old car the paint is in very good condition - better than my 2.5 year old truck lol) b/c after speaking w/ them & checking w/ some other places seems like vinyl chips fairy/tears fairly easily whereas I thought it held up like a protective film - in fact these wrap places recommended putting the film over the wrap to help protect it.
Adding those 2 up together I feel like I could work w/ a local body shop & get it repainted entirely for close to the same & then do film after for the front...probably end up costing $2-3,000 more overall, but then would have a pristine new paint job & film to keep it that way for another 15 years.

For what it's worth, I was just in a 'minor' fender bender that scratched the front bumper cover and hood and ruined the driver's side headlight cover and was quoted just under $4000 for that repair. Same shop said a full respray if I did the repairs and they only had minor prep would be $5-6k. Just food for thought.

So you're telling me I should ram a tree or something??Lololol
Since I'm having trouble finding a yellow targa top, I'm wondering if wrapping my see through top would be feasible?? Maybe a carbon fiber look. The contrast of my yellow body, and the black carbon might look pretty good. Any thoughts? Also I haven't seen where anyone has tried to remove a wrap, and what problems they've run into. A wrap called Diamond Shield is a bear to take off, and the residual adhesive will make you pull your hair out.
Not around here, paint is at LEAST 3 times the cost as a wrap. Wrap is about $1K to $3K where paint is $9K and up to $20K+.
OP, your car looks great though the front emblem looks out of place, I would have left it off. Still, 9.5 out of 10
Painting a corvette shouldn't be anywhere near $9-20K thats insane.
Show car/concurs paint jobs can be $10K+but anyone paying that much to paint a DD vette or a weekend Vette is getting taken.
I painted cars in my 20's and the average paint job was $3-5k with $5k being the high end (Dallas). Today that would be maybe $5-7K and a wrap in Dallas using good vinyl from a good shop is about $5K
I truly dislike the term ricer, in particular as it applies to vehicle wrap which has evolved into a legitimate and dramatic mod for anyone who wants to personalize their car. Here are a few wrapped cars...none made in Japan.
This is a wrap that gives wrap jobs a bad name. Thats cheap, cheap, cheap vinyl. Good vinyl will look extremely smooth like paint or better. This wrap looks like a Maaco $300 paint job

I’ve noticed lots of variation in wrap jobs. That was just a pic I took at a big cruise. Some look like unpolished orange peel, some scream “SURFACE PREP PLEASE”, and others look real good. Choice of material is a big factor also. I think because it seems ‘easy’ people attempt it and get questionable results.

True, however its not at all easy, at least to me. I'm sure it is over time with repetition and practice, and its certainly faster than paint. Its just these bad wraps are what feed some of the negative comments about wraps.
The OP's wrap looks great and I guarantee that if he didnt tell anyone it was a wrap, all the people with negative comments towards wraps would never know and swear "thats some awesome looking paint"

I've seen Surfer G's C5 first hand and you wouldn't know that it isn't an expensive paint job, even standing right next to it. That it was wrapped by professionals who have done many higher end cars, and used a high quality vinyl product, makes it look as good as it does. Gary said they took more than a day just to clean and prep his C5 prior to the wrap. Just like a nice paint job, the end result is only as good as the steps taken aforehand to ensure a quality outcome.

LOL...I wish it was that simple...some fella in an early 90s Honda Accord decided to back out of his parking space and sit on my front end. Not a good day was had on Monday.

Lots of possibilities, but a dark top will look great on your car. If you have it wrapped make sure the material they use is designed for automotive/exterior use.

That's the reason I park my C5 as far away from other parked cars as possible. Besides the walk does me good.
After owning my 01 pewter vert for 5.5 years it was time for a make over.
I've always liked the dark gray so I picked charcoal metallic and graphite stripes. The shop did a great job vinyl wrapping the vette. The process took three days, they wrapped the door jams as well as the water fall.
Not every ones taste, but i like it.
You mentioned $1900 for this job. Where (what city)?
