Default Refinish plastic trim?

Has anyone done anything with the interior plastic trim pieces like the door sill area, window pillars, seatbelt area and halo covers?
Repaint, change color, cover with some type of vinyl or leather?
Thanks!

I am almost complete with my interior. My door panels have been redone with vinyl as it looks and feels like leather but wears better. And changed color as they were black and grey. Now black. Few grey plastics I was going to spray place but found some were not in great shape and found them cheap to replace. Other areas like A pillars I wrapped in suede.headliner suede with diamond stitching, Shift boats suede, visors suede. We are about to pull the dash and wrap that in same vinyl as doors due to starting to have a minor wave. New carpet, wrapped the kick bolsters and glove box. The radio bezel is re textured as got molded new double done and gauges. (Will be done Monday).
Wasn’t bad of process. We did most of interior work as we were wrapping the car. Don’t have any decent pics yet. But here is some. Will get more when car comes home.

Get in touch with SFC Rick here on the forum. He did some extensive work on the interior of his car.

Nice work! I just received my diamond stitched vinyl for the headliner. How did you do it? I have the Mid America insert, and was going to recoat that with the diamond stitched material.

We actually just made a whole new headliner. We started suede headliner material as it has small bit of foam. Stitched the diamonds and then we used the factory headliner as template and cut new foam the wrapped the diamond stiched section to it. We went just a tad thicker then the factory headliner. Glued it to the top. Wasn’t hard at all. Well stitching the Simone’s sucked. Took them a good bit of time. But after it was stiched. Took us about hour to cut, glue, wrap and glue to top. Friends of mine have a tint/upostry shop. So most stuff I have don’t to car is custom as something could not find exactly what I wanted. Or the didn’t have it. At the end it turned out cheaper as well.

Pretty sure sfc Rick did all of those things to his ride. I saw a post by him dated within the last week, so he's "active" again. Look him up.

The plastic trim piece that goes along the bottom of door openings gets pretty beat up looking from all of the scuffing from shoes....is there anything that can done with that?

You can get some vinyl is matching color and wrap it. Every so often replace it. Or can put stealth PPF that may help. They have covers you can put on top of them. Me I just lift my foot up and be very careful getting in like you would if in super car. I’m used to it as getting.into friends 918

A long time ago when I worked at a Chrysler dealer we would have to change out huge interior panels in the minivans. They came one color and we had to use a special interior trim paint from a rattle can. It was amazing how well it matched the rest of the interior. I would never have believed it could match if I hadn't seen it.
