I have found a 2003 50th anniversary edition with 85k miles. Great price, clean carfax, all that needs to be done is to physically go look and drive. With this being my first corvette buying experience, is there anything outside of the normal inspection process i need to look at?
Look underneath at the F55 shocks and make sure they aren’t leaking. Check for the yellow “shock stuffer” strip while you are under there. I would take a look at the diff too.

When the cars were shipped there was a yellow block stuffed in to control the movement during transit. The dealer was "supposed" to remove these prior to delivery.
It's amazing how many post about a horrible ride only to find the shock stuffers still in place after all these years!!
Just to compile what the others are saying, is do your research on things that are unique to the '03 AE and then get as much history as you can about this car. If it is in a condition of "well kept" then you are probably on to a good thing. Definitely pull the codes for both current and historic problems.
One thing for me is it a "one owner" car? What you are looking for is a car that has been LOVED and just in need of another HOME.
