If I hadn't already bought my Morimotos and Lightwerkz brackets, I would have gone this route. Would have been less money too, seeing this kit comes with HID lights as well.
Those don't come with Morimoto projectors, so you're setup should out perform these. Big difference and worth the additional cost? Just personal preference, but I don't think so. Not sure of brand HID kit.

With everything installed you won't be able to tell the difference between mine, yours or SLI.

I may try this silicone/ weather seal idea with mine. I think the only difference with the Morimoto is the plug for the high beam gate solenoid would need sealed with silicone also.

You're right, you'll definitely need to silicone the solenoid plug on the Morimotos

I was trying to follow the tutorial, but there's a missing detail that's driving me crazy. Take a look at these steps:

This one is self explanatory.

This one has a seal that is not mentioned anywhere. Where did it come from? How is it attached to the lower side of the mounting bracket?

This one shows the final assembly, but doesn't throw any additional clarification on the mysterious upper seal. It seems that it is only attached to the lower surface of the bracket, judging by the picture below.

Any ideas?

My guess is it comes preinstalled and is a different style weather strip. The bottom one appears to be the type that presses onto a lip, the top looks like the "D" shaped strip with adhesive backing.

I like how they seal things up, nice and clean. What is done to protect the solenoid from the elements? Or are the Morimoto's solenoid in front of the mounting bracket?

Everything is inside the bracket except the backside of the reflection bowl. Here is mine, as it sits now. The two screws are loose because I'm getting ready to install a bracket for LED demon eyes.

I may use butyl tape on mine due to lack of surface on the bracket for mounting weather stripping.

You're probably right

Is this because the Lightwerkz circular bracket has a smaller diameter and doesn't have enough of a lip beyond the anchoring screws?

Yes, I believe so.

Okay, I figured a way to mount the projector flush to the light housing with the use of a different shroud. Rather than further hijacking this thread with my progress, I posted a new thread here:

Potential solution to getting into the permaseal headlights. Name could use some thinking over though..
i just used a lot of cycles in my oven, a few razor blades, & a lot of patience (about 6hrs each) when opening my permasealed Denali headlights.

I know it’s reviving an old thread, but I wanted to say thank you for this. I followed the instructions from OP and got my ACA style headlights converted to some real projectors that actually work as they’re supposed to.

Very welcome! It's amazing the difference between stock ACA and retrofitted
