Had the AC compressor and drier replaced a little over a year ago. Mechanic used Advance Auto.... Grrrrr....
Anyway.... That one crapped out and had it replaced under their warranty. Now it's shake rattle and rolling... Lol
Told the mechanic I would personally buy a GM compressor if he put it on under advances warranty and he could use the one from Advance as an anchor or something.
He's cool with that..... So what's the best compressor to get and would I need a new drier as well?.... Since it hasn't been a year since he replaced that too.

You have to bear in mind that GM doesn't make compressors anymore. So, yes, it's AC Delco, but no, it isn't the same as originally used by Chevrolet. As nearly as I can tell from the internet, it should be a Delphi, and my most recent Delphi was made in Korea, so a big step up from Chinese commercially reprehensible asian products (or crap for short). And $370 doesn't seem out of hand for Delphi.
