The old TPMS had a date stamp as Yello95 said. It was June 1998. My car is 1999 delivered in October 1998 so they were original and still working after 20 years. As far as the new ones go they were installed before I got his reply so the date on the sensors will remain a mystery. Hopefully they will last as long as the originals. I just turned 67 so I may not last that long.

Well, you may last that long but probably sitting in a wheel chair dribbling...

I needed new TPMS for my 98 back in 2012. I bought a set of 4 off Ebay for $150. Those have worked fine since, about 25k miles. I do not know how accurate other sensors are but these do vary from the truth by anywhere from 0 to almost 10%. That's only 3psi, but if you're **** about the pressure readings, that is annoying. That's not to say the originals were any more accurate, just saying these are not perfect. They do work perfect though.

At the time, I bought batteries for my old sensors and replaced all 4. then sold mine on Ebay for the same money as I had in the new ones. Wasn't feasible to keep the old ones as I needed replacements ready for the day the tires were going on. Would have been just as happy to keep my originals.

At that time, oem replacements were >$150 each. That price above for new at Rock Auto is what they should be.

Schrader PN 20117 are the TPMS for the 2001 - 2004 C5

you can actually call Schrader and speak with an engineer and he will answer your questions...all Schrader tpms are made in Ireland...pm me if I can help...
Do you know what the Schrader pt# for 97 C5?
