Goofing off on the inter web I found this LED light mod. I contacted the guy who makes them... He sells them for a little under $400. Needs a couple weeks lead time to make them. All he needed from me were the dimensions. I think its a pretty funny play on the whole Knight Rider thing from my youth. Not sure if I'd ever pull the trigger. I just thought what a cool idea.
It's only $400 and it will make your car special. You want to be special, don't you? (LOL)
It just caught my eye... watched a few bad episodes of Knight Rider... googled it to see if anyone had tried to put a light bar on their C5. sure enough... there it is. Not sure how legal it would be. just thought that's impressive

If you go to car shows and want a novelty look, it would be cool. Otherwise, not something I would spend $400 on and I would question whether it would be legal for normal driving.
I've spoken with him and he seems to make a quality product. I think its cool but thats the 80s nerd in me. I chose not to get it because as said, its for show cars and not the street.
I have a few opinions, and that is what the op asked for.
It's definitely unusual, and isn't on every other car we see on a daily basis.
If you are psychologically challenged, to the point you crave attention, this would be a great way to get it.
Anything over twenty years old, people, on seeing that on a car, would probably laugh, and say, what an old fool.

I've got 2 7" light bars, not the knight rider thing they actually serve a lighting purpose, and another member 455ta had some. I think that was the screen name.
Seriously, though, as Jack said, it might be cool for a car show, but as Jack and Don both pointed out, I wouldn't run them on the street because of possible legal issues.
A friend of mine has these on his car. Cool mod, but show only. Cannot see them when off, unless you look hard and know they are there. It does get folks attention when switched on.
