No need for any more big HP gain through Super Chargers or anything else to boost power for me...I'm just about handling and looks and cruising...
Well let's not get carried away here. There is always a place for a supercharger.
As much as I would like to, I don't take the bait. I smile and wave or ignore and let the idiots get busted for it. It's sure fun to find some deserted roadway (easy to do in Kansas) and run hard through the gears and listen to that Maggie go to work.
Next time you are tempted to race, just ask yourself:
Is an accident possible? Do I have money that I don't need to pay for repairs that the insurance won't fork over because I was speeding?
Can I get a ticket for speeding meaning do I have an extra $400 or so to pay for it?
Do I want to go traffic school or just have my insurance premium raised by several hundred dollars?
I was out driving my vette and a kid in some import pulls up next to me revs his engine wanting to race me. I turned, looked at the guy, laughed in his face, and turned into my building complex. I thought, boy I am saving your life and possibly the life of someone else. No way I am racing him or anyone, ever.
I'm just enjoying my car and don't even notice this stuff. There was a guy at work that had a mid 60s Mustang. Every time I talked with him he told stories of all the hot rod modern cars he was racing (and beating, says him). I think he was in a fantasy world. I rode in the car with him before and it was fun, but not that fast. He probably thought they were racing and in reality they were just enjoying seeing and hearing him go through the gears in some classic iron.
