5th Brake Light Flasher

Hope this helps.

Cool, how do these install? I researched these years ago and they were expensive, like $200 so didn't pursue.

When cruisin the members in back love that light, it catches there attentions.

I think they are down to about $20-$50 depending on the version you select (some have multiple, multiple features).
I'm attaching the installation information from the manufacturer. Pretty simple to follow. Remember the yellow wire is hot and the black wire is the ground.
Two ways to get at the 3rd light (the High Mounted Stop Light, in technical terms
). First way is the remove the right and left tail lights closest to the license plate and go through that way; gives you room for using both left and right hands. The second way is to remove your license plate holder and back up lights frame. If you do this, be careful to not break any tabs on the plate/back up light frame.Remove the nuts holding the 3rd stop light to the car (believe you use a 7mm nut driver).
Then unplug the 3rd stop light and pull it out through one of the brake light openings (or the license plate opening).
You can then push the wiring through the opening where one of the stop stop lights were (or the license plate opening). This will let you splice the flasher module into the wiring.
When done, put the wiring back into the cavity, put the 3rd light back through the brake light opening (or license plate area) and mount it where it goes.
Then reconnect the plug to the 3rd stop light. Put the tail lights back in (or the license plate holder/back up lights) and you're good to go.
Remember, most of these pulsing light modules have more than one set up (fast flashes, slow flashes, delays, etc). Be sure and enter the set up you prefer while you have access to the wiring and the light.
Hope this all makes sense; it's been a couple of years. Probably will once you glance at the installation instructions.
Good luck!

Plug and Play would be easier, for sure, but this isn't too bad.
At one time, RadioFlyer was working on a P&P version but don't know if he ever finished that up. You may want to check his site at: https://shop.radioflyerinnovations.c...8.htm?page=all
Not sure if anyone else has a P&P version.
Good luck with yours!

But doing it right it took about 30 minuets. Easy with the ZIP and no wire cutting. So today was out to do some errands and had to make a quick stop for a car turning right in front of me. A heart stopping squalling of tires from behind. Just maybe the blinking light saved the car from being hit. - Here's how it works: each time the brakes are applied, your Brake light will rapidly flash on & off 4 times, slow flash 4 times, and then solid until you release the Brake

Now the interesting question is, is there a flasher that will do what GCG describes? Seems like it would be a useful feature. If there IS such a thing I'm going to re-think the DynaFlash.
Maybe one of those "programmable" ones would do it, or the "Blinking Smart Stop Delay Version".

Kahtec Blinking Smart Stop (they call this the 'delay version'): http://www.kahtec.com/smart_stop.htm

Always been called ‘the third’, like on every other car.
