I put Uniroyal Tiger Paw GTZ All Season tires on my C5 last year.
Michelin owns Uniroyal along with BFGoodrich and Riken. They
have been quiet tires since I've own them. Nice thing for me is
Walmart had a good deal for them online. I had them shipped
to the store for free. Picked them up and had the tires installed
by a shop I trust. (Not Walmart)
Not to hijack, but I posted in the Tires Forum and haven't gotten traction (hah!) like this thread has... Looking for one last call on this before I place my order...
I have an '04 Coupe with just an intake and bypass exhaust mod. Looking for an upgrade in the OEM sizes (245/45ZR17 & 275/40ZR18). My car is currently wearing a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP (run flats). I am deciding between the 3 following options:
I think you guys generally prefer the Hankooks based on what I've seen...
I'm in Michigan and drive my car every day from the time the lows are above 40F until the first snow of the fall (rain doesn't deter me). I like to get up and go from stoplights occasionally, and take corners fast. I don't track or autox the car, and would prefer a quiet tire though performance takes precedence.

Any final thoughts?
I currently run Bridgestone Potenzas and love them, but may buy the Firestone Indy 500s for my next set. Have heard great things about them and you can not beat the price. Like you say, others swear by the Hankooks so you really can't go wrong.

If my math is right, I can actually get the Hankooks for about $40 cheaper than the Firestones. What I've read on the Firestones is that they're a great tire for the price, versus the Hankooks which are slightly better for slightly more money. I really appreciate your feedback though!
out of those three I like the BF Goodrich .... the Fire hawk is very weak in the wet and the Hankook offering is just so-so overall
Really? Are you able to elaborate on the BFGs a bit? I almost eliminated them based on reading on this site because they seemed to have the least satisfied customers of the three options I listed.

Maybe Hankooks are the way to go then. When I checked a while back, the Indy 500s were considerably cheaper.
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 ZP Ultra High Performance, Best all around tire on the market today to put on a C5. $1,093 out the door at Costco. I can't afford to put a cheap tire on my corvette.
This is what I was going to say. These are great and the price for such a highly rated tire on Tire rack is hundreds lower than you might expect. Go with the Firestone Indy 500 from Tire Rack with free shipping and you can't go wrong I promise you.
I think Discount Tire sells them too...my bad, I just looked on their and it appears they don't...at least they aren't listed on their site...

Loved the Goodyear F1DSG3 but they don't make them in OEM sizes for the C5 anymore. Now have Nitto 555's and like them equally well. [insert runflat vs non runflat argument HERE]
