Very nice low mileage C5. I like the color and am very happy to see you opted for the drop top! Top down and good exhaust note make for fun trips to just about anywhere. C5's are really wonderful performance cars and generally are very dependable. Good luck and best wishes to you with your new ride!

Very nice car.
To me when it comes to a C5 nothing looks as good as a drop top.

Welcome, great looking ride. Have you had a chance to drive it enough to have any more thoughts on the Borla S-type? Did you get the sound increase you were looking for? Drone?

Mine had a Borla S when I bought it three years ago. Terrible drone. I replaced it immediately.

I really like the sound running thru the gears a better low end growl than stock. Highway Cruising in 6th the tone is a little louder than stock but I don’t consider it a drone so far happy with the exhaust note.

Congrats and a great choice. The C5 is a classic design and the vert/M6 combo can't be beat. Enjoy the ride!

Thanks for the reply....it sounds like "Time for a C5" may have had the original Borla "S" when he got his car and you might have the newer reduced drone version?

Mine was the original system. I understand v2 was much improved.

Changed plugs and wires this afternoon the old plugs AC 41-974 gapped at around .60 new plugs AC 41-110 gapped at .40 went with MSD Superconductor 8.5 which could have been a little longer to my mind but they fit fine.

I can see why some folks wouldn’t take on this job took me about 2 hours taking my time. I just can’t justify paying someone $$$$.

May be just me but she feels like she pulls better and idles better, looking at the old plugs I would say running a little lean but I’m no expert.
